Here is another post about a recipe I made from pinterest. This one was a big thumbs up, the first picture is of my niece, Pearl, sampling a roll, and she definitely approved. I have never had any success making any sort of bread that uses yeast. This recipe changed all that for me. This recipe claims to be identical to the rolls that they serve at Texas Roadhouse, I don't know if it is exactly the same as those rolls, but they were delicious. One thing that made this recipe super easy was making the rolls in a muffin pan, so I didn't have to get my hands messy. It also includes a cinnamon butter recipe that is also super duper good. This recipe is courtesy of the blog A Godly Heritage, and you can access the recipe here.

Funfetti Fudge and Bacon Ranch Pull Apart Bread
Here are the first two things that I made after joining pinterest. This is a thumbs up/thumbs down situation.
So first for the, not so good. I made this cake batter fudge expecting to want to lick the bowl. I made it exactly according to the recipe, and I think that the flavoring ratios need some work. It did not live up to what the original blogger said about it. I have posted the pin below.
Next is the pull apart bread, this was a huge success, I think that you can link to the recipe from the embedded pin below. We had this with spaghetti, but it would also make an awesome side for a tailgate or pot luck supper. I have not made it, but there is a similar recipe on the same blog for a sweet bread made in a similar manner.

Pinterest- Good Idea/Bad Idea
When I first saw people posting about pinterest on facebook, I was convinced it had something to do with beer because the name started with pint, please do not laugh... So I eventually got around to looking at the site, and I then realized that my life would not be complete without yet another avenue to look at what people are doing. I signed up and after what seemed like an eternity, my invitation to join showed up as an email. I have really enjoyed looking at all the things that people pin and repin and them repin some more. The more I have used the site, I have begun to wonder how many of the ideas are actually doable. So, I am going to start doing reviews of ideas that I find on pinterest. I am thinking of this as the next incarnation of my blog. Also, if you have tried some ideas that you have found on pinterest, I would love to hear about them, and have you guest blog for me!

Caramel pecan pie
I picked this recipe up in prison. Through my job I have learned all sorts of interesting things, many of which I cannot relate while in polite company. This pie recipe is thankfully something I can share, you can find it here . My aide that helps me out each night is always copying recipes and mailing them home, and sometimes she shares what she finds with me. She shared this recipe with me, and I made it for Thanksgiving this year. It was really good, and really easy.

This cake was for a friend's Christmas party. It was a really fun one to make, and I was excited to get to try a new recipe for a spice cake out.
